Patch Notes 2.7 [TO BE CONFIRMED] - UPDATED

Hello Brawlers! This summer will be a bit more quiet as we are not planning any updates in August. However in September we will release a major update. In the next days we will be unveiling what the Autumn will bring.

Today we are starting with the first three topics!

New Balance
  • To make the game more balanced, we had to start from the scratch - all the units will be re-balanced

  • Units will be classified in three main categories : Attack, Tank & Army Single Target, Area Attack and Army

  • They will follow rock-paper-scissor logic and will have different attributes (Attack > Tank > Army > Attack) (Single Target > Area Attack > Army > Single Target)

  • Totems and Support units are out of this classification

Champion classes - Attributes (basic)

  • Attack deals a lot of Damage, but it is low on HP. They attack single target.

  • Tanks: Weak area damage, high HP

  • Single Target units will focus all of it in only one unit, they are strong against Area attack

  • Area Attack units have weaker damage, but they are incredibly strong against large groups of enemies.

  • Armies: Multiple Units with weak single target damage, and low HP. Their strength lies in quantity.

Balance

New Stats

Main difference between different categories is based on HP, damage and targeting. This does not mean that all Champions in the same category will be the same.

We have added more attributes to Champion Profile to make all the Champions unique and provide more accurate information to the users.

Movement, Attack Speed, Range and Auto-Attacks will be displayed in each Champion profile.

Example: An Attack Champion with a fast movement will have other stats lower than an average speed Attack unit.

STATS

Rarity - Special Moves

Rarity is no longer an indicator of the power of each Champion. Rarity classifies the units according to the characteristics of their Special Moves. It provides information on what we can expect from every Champion and on the strategic difficulty of that particular unit.

  • Common: Special Move simply increases dealt damage. It can have extra effects: Stun, Freeze or Buffs
    Example: Erik. His Special Move increases the damage he deals, but he still targets a single unit.

  • Rare: Special Move with unique behaviors and extra effects: Shields, Heals, Traps, Summons etc.
    Example: Baiek. Attack Champion with a Special Move that is a Trap.

  • Epic: Special Moves with attributes from other categories
    Example: Maya. Her normal attack hits a single unit, however her Special Move has an area effect (that normally is a Tank attribute)


Token Exchange:

With the new system, some of the Champions might change their rarity. As each rarity needs a different amount of tokens to level up - this could be a problem.

How will we handle it? We will exchange the tokens using the percentages. Let´s take Sabrina as an example. Right now she is an epic Champion but with the update she will be changed to a Common champion.

Right now to update Sabrina to level 10 you need 300 tokens. After the update this amount will change to 1500 tokens.

If a user have 100 tokens (out of 300) they will be exchanged to 500 tokens (out of 1500).

The exchange will be applied also in the situation when Champions increase the rarity to reduce the number of tokens.

Mana Rules

It is well known that some Special Moves are better than others. Especially when you compare special Moves from Titans and other Champions. We do not want to change that aspect. However in order to add more strategy to it from the next update Special Moves will have different mana costs depending on their power.

We are also increasing the amount of Mana slots and changing the filling speed of one bar to 7.5 seconds.

Leveling up & Unlocking new Champions

Levels are completely redone to fit with the usual user progression in the game. First of all - the Champions will have 20 levels now.

Leveling up Champions and their Special Moves will be merged. You will need both tokens and materials to reach the new levels. Upgrading the Champion will automatically upgrade their Special Move.

The unlock order will be change as well - it takes into consideration new Class & Rarity definitions and also gives users more strategical options to compete against their opponents.

After the update, Special Moves will be upgraded automatically to match the Champions levels.

Boss raids

Boss Raids cycle will increase from 2 to 6 - however Kraghon and Alkubra will remain as the only two Bosses. They will appear several times during one cycle, with different abilities.

Each week players need to figure out the weak spot of the Boss and find a good way to counter the enemy. Beating one level in a raid will increase the stats of the boss, but won´t change the strategy.

Clan Tags

From the new update Clan Prefixes will be automatically appear before the user name, when player enters or changes the clan.

This is how auto tags will be created:

  • Clan with one word name - the first 3 letters
    Example: Adventure: ADV

  • More than one word - the first letter of each word
    Example: Adventure Begins: AB

  • Treat "_" as a space
    Example: Adventure Begins_Now: ABN

  • Treat "Numbers" as letters
    Example: 20 Adventure: 2A

  • If there is a number in the end, add it.
    Example: Adventure Begins20: AB20

Please remember about the rules, we are aware that players cannot change the Clan Names - the support will be here to help you in case of issues.

In the future we will block the option to change user names.

Does the number of tokens that you get in the boxes change and is the number of tokens needed for the champions the same?

I just want to know why you can't do balance changes quicker? Cause you know gurb is still broken and fristor is still too fast and maya still does so much damage in such a short amount of time. You fixed holgrush pretty quickly. So why can't you do a mini update or balance change every 2 weeks or so to address these issues?

We decided not to make any balance changes until we introduce this update. We will change a lot of things in the game, and we want the players to be aware what should they expect in September. We do not want to juggle with the balance meanwhile.

Also the Champions you mentioned are powerful, however there are counters against them (Fristor and Baiek for Gurb, Grunder. Fristor, Rok, Drok for Maya. Grunder is also amazing against Fristor).

We shall see how this update goes. And drok grunder and the like can take out fristor if he's by himself. When he's teamed with any range he becomes op. Fristor s special is too quick.

You need to use Grunder to take Fristor and leave range alone. There are ways to do it:)

it is difficult for us to have a precise date, as after submitting the new build, we need to wait a few days before it is accepted. The new version will be available very very soon:)
